INGREDIENTS

  • 1 KG OF GROUND BEEF (KNUCKLE OR INSIDE ROUND)
  • ½ ONION, DICED
  • 2 GARLIC CLOVES, MINCED
  • ½ BUNCH OF PARSLEY, CHOPPED
  • 20 THIN SLICES OF BACON
  • 2 TEACUPS OF COARSELY GRATED MOZZARELLA CHEESE
  • SALT AND BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE

PREPARATION

Season the meat with the onion, garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper; mix well. Roll out a piece of plastic wrap and spread the meat, forming a rectangle, about a finger thick. Cover with the bacon slices and mozzarella. Aided by the plastic wrap, roll up the meat into the shape a roulade (dispose of the plastic wrap). Wrap it in aluminium foil and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Remove the aluminium foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
