INGREDIENTS

  • 2 CUPS SUGAR 
  • ¾ CUP MILK 
  • ½ DRY COCONUT MEAT, FINELY GRATED 
  • 4 EGG YOLKS
  • 30 PITTED PRUNES
  • SANDING SUGAR

PREPARATION

Combine sugar with milk. Place in the heat and let the milk dissolve the sugar. When it starts boiling, add grated coconut, stirring well. Add egg yolks, whisking non-stop, so it won’t coagulate and thicken the dough. Cook for 5 more minutes and allow to cool outside the fridge. Roll the dough into little balls and place inside the prunes, coating with sanding sugar.
