Shopping, tasting good bread, attending classes with great chefs and still doing a good deed is the combination that Pão com Pão offers to each of its visitors. The event, which takes place on May 18th and 19th at Shopping JK, in São Paulo, will bring together several specialists to speak, sell and discuss one of the most well-known foods in the world: bread.
During the weekend, visitors will be able to buy, taste and learn how to make different types of bread at home. Representing Instituto Brasil a Gosto, chef Thiago Andrade will give a class on pão de queijo and chipa, on the 18th (Saturday) at 12:30. You can buy tickets here.
The Instituto will also have a stall to sell bread with a national flavor, such as pão delícia, from Bahia; and two kinds of sourdough bread: one made with cocoa and Brazil nuts and another made with pumpkin. Alex Duarte, from Padoca do Alex, will be our special guest and will sell, with us, Brazilian sourdough multigrain bread and sourdough focaccia.
Part of the money raised will be donated to Tucca (Association for Children and Adolescents with Cancer), which works to increase cancer cure rates among underprivileged children and teenagers, improving their quality of life.
