INGREDIENTS
GOOSEBERRY
- ½ CUP GOOSEBERRY SYRUP
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
Combine all ingredients with 1 litre of water, fill the bags with it, using a funnel, and keep in the freezer for 6 hours.
YELLOW MOMBIM
- 200 G YELLOW MOMBIM PULP
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
Process all ingredients with 1 litre of water, fill the bags with it, and keep in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
TAPIOCA GRANULES AND COCONUT
- 4 TABLESPOONS INSTANT TAPIOCA GRANULES
- 100 ML COCONUT MILK
- 1 LITRE MILK
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
Soak tapioca granules in coconut milk for 30 minutes. Combine all ingredients, fill the bags and freeze for 6 hours.
IN DETAIL: In São Paulo contryside, there were popsicles and freezies. Ice cream, almost never. No wonder I’ve got an emotional connection with freezies. My favorite flavours were toasted coconut, lime and gooseberry. Very typical in beach areas, it can also be called chupe-chupe, picolé-de-saco or gelinho, it depends.
