Ham is cooked and cured boneless pork leg. It is part of the everyday life of many Brazilians, either in sandwiches or as a filling for salgadinhos, often combined with mozzarella or prato cheese. Two classic preparations using ham: Enroladinho de presunto e queijo (a ham and cheese roll rolled up like a jelly roll), called joelho (“knee”) in Rio de Janeiro, and Misto quente (ham and cheese sandwich).
