THIS VARIETY OF lemon is closely related to the Persian lime, but it is smaller and juicier, with a yellowish, thin peel. It is considered the best lime to make caipirinha, and it is also used in marinades, salad dressings, mousses and cakes, among other recipes. In some parts of Brazil, the term limão-galego is used to refer to Rangpur lime.
