THIS EXTREMELY high yield variety – almost half of its weight is juice – accounts for 50% of the mandarin / tangerine market in Brazil. The thick peel comes off easily to reveal segments of intense color that can be separated effortlessly. Just as it happens with Murcotts, the production and consumption are concentrated in the South and Southeast regions. The culinary uses are also similar: juices, caipirinhas, sauces, marinades, confections, jams, and cakes, among other. The season runs from March to July.
