Phaseolus vulgaris

PURPLISH-RED LIKE like kidney beans, but smaller and creamier, this variety produces a tasty broth. It is found more often in fairs and markets of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, where it is commonly used to prepare Feijão tropeiro (beans and meats mixed with manioc flour and seasonings).
