INGREDIENTS

  • CUPS WHITE RICE
  • 1 LITRE WHOLE MILK
  • ½ CUP SUGAR
  • 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER
  • 4 EGG YOLKS
  • GROUND CINNAMON TO TASTE

PREPARATION

Cook rice in 2 cups of water. Meanwhile, heat milk, but don’t allow to boil. When all the water in the pan rice has gone, add milk to the grains – reserve 1 cup. When rice is tender, add sugar and butter. Cook the mixture stirring constantly, to avoid it from sticking to the bottom. Mix the egg yolks with the reserved milk and add to the rice. Cook until thickened and very creamy. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and serve. If you wish, add also orange zest and cloves along with the butter.
