INGREDIENTS

  • 3 BRAZILIAN FRENCH-ROLLS, DAY-OLD 
  • 2½ CUPS MILK, PLUS EXTRA MILK TO SOAK
  • 3 EGGS
  • 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER 
  • 1 CUP SUGAR 
  • 1 TEASPOON GROUND CINNAMON 

SYRUP

  • 1 CUP SUGAR 

PREPARATION

Finely slice one of the rolls and set aside. Soak the other two in milk and process in a blender with all the milk, eggs, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Make a syrup with sugar and ¼ cup of water, straight in the baking pan. Soak bread slices and place in the syrup. Pour the pudding over the pan, cover with aluminium foil and bake in water bath in the oven at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes, or until firm. Before unmolding, heat the bottom of the baking pan to melt the syrup.
